Denbies Wine Estate is on the London Road just 15 minutes from the Red Lion. It was established in 1986 and is England's largest single estate vineyard with 265 acres of vines. Visitor wine experience tours include an introduction to all aspects of viticulture.
The vineyards of Denbies Estate are situated on the North Downs with its famous chalky soil, in a protected valley of south facing slopes. Denbies produces some of the finest sparkling and table wines in Europe through repeated certification in major International competitions, including International Wine Challenge and International Wine and Spirit competition.

Denbies is one of the most spectacular wedding venues in Surrey with breathtaking views over Box Hill, the North Downs and acres of vines offering unrivalled photo opportunities.
You can start celebrating your wedding in the heart of a vineyard or in the atmospheric Denbies cellar, a uniquely romantic destination for pre-reception drinks or wine tasting.
Denbies has two rooms available for civil ceremonies for 20-175 guests:
- The Garden Room is favourably positioned between the courtyard and the Conservatory, perfect for civil ceremonies, drinks receptions & evening parties.
- The Conservatory can accommodate up to 200 guests for the wedding breakfast; guests will be welcomed by the flowing central fountain and tropical plants creating a relaxed atmosphere for dining.
The complete ground floor can accommodate up to 350 guests for celebrations that continue into the evening.
For those requiring a more intimate venue, The Gallery Restaurant is situated on the 3rd floor offering stunning panoramic views of the vineyard and suits between 20-50 guests.
